The one and only Bansko Jazz Festival commenced on the 8th August 2008. It ran for 6 days featuring over 30 acts. It included famous vocalists and musicians from all over the globe, such as The Belgium International Orchestra, the Egyptian fusion band Eftekasat and an experimental band from Greece called Palyrria. Among these international groups were the excellent guitarists, vocalists, pianists, flautists and percussionists from Bulgaria.
