The Ski Season and Winter Activities
Millions of euros have been spent improving the
skiing facilities, and the resort now boasts over 65 kilometres of
ski runs and a lift network covering 26 kilometres. Snow cannons cover half of the slopes.

The ski school provides group and individual teaching for all levels, whilst a ski kindergarten welcomes children from the age of 4. See Equipment Hire tab for prices and run map.
As well as improving the ski facilities the local council are working to create a local infrastructure to support an all seasons resort.

In less than 20 minutes a fast Gondola lift transports you to the ski centre 12 kilometres up the mountains. On the pistes you can relax in a selection of traditional restaurants.
The skiing season starts in mid December and lasts through until mid May when the town changes over to a summer resort offering hunting, walking, fishing and sightseeing.

In winter the skiing conditions are excellent with the Pirin Mountain being predominantly Alpine in character with 3 peaks towering above 2900m.
Bansko is Bulgaria's number one ski resort and the fastest growing ski destination in Europe, having the best and most modern ski centre of all Bulgarian ski resorts.
It also has the best snow record and the longest ski season (15 Dec - 15 May) of all Bulgarian ski resorts.
The slopes offer runs for all types of skier from novice to expert.
There are 14 pistes including one huge 16km run; plus cross country and off piste skiing.
The snowboard lovers can enjoy the first of the Balkan fun parks. They can build jumps suiting their taste and abilities.
Every day skiers and snowboarders can take part in the competitions on the new piste on Shiligarnika.
